Madame Oui and I took a jaunt over to Scrabo Park, Newtownards, Co. Down. We’re both sick with chest colds, and wanted to get out of the house for some fresh air and to take advantage of the clear skies (after a couple of weeks of clouds and mist). There was some fresh snow from the previous evening, and we enjoyed the sound of the crunch underneath our feet. It was windy enough on top of the hill, though, so we didn’t linger for too long. But the panoramic views were stunning, from the mountains of Newry and Mourne, across the Belfast Lough viewing Carrickfergus, to even the distant Scottish coastline. We left suitably reinvigorated!
