I was an early adopter of the Nike+ system, and have over 5 years’ data on their site. However, today is the last run I will sync there.
Five years ago, the introduction of the Nike+ feature was revolutionary, and I enjoyed seeing my runs synced and progress displayed online. However, with the Nike+ website worsening every year (please, stop it with Flash already!), the inability to adjust erroneous GPS tracking and inaccurate mileage recorded (with no manual adjustments possible), and competitors like
DailyMile and
RunKeeper providing a richer and more open experience (import/export APIs), my run with Nike+ has come to an end.
I’ll see you over at
RunKeeper, with
iSmoothRun as my iPhone logging app.
I’m kind of sad to leave, but like many of us at their discussion forum, I’ve given Nike literally years to try to provide a better service.
